Mobley given national VFW position

Staff reports

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3630 recently announced that Daryl Mobley has been appointed by National Junior Vice Commander-in-Chief Ray Sisk to a national appointment as Veterans Care Officer. He is the only one for all the states in the Western Conference.

Mobley will be setting up Health Education Alliance in conjunction with Pfizer, a pharmaceutical company.

His mission is to educate members and community about important health issues and provide them the information and tools they need to address their own personal health issues. Called “Together We Stand,” the alliance is a pilot program in certain areas.

In general, veterans and their loved ones can face a host of health problems, some which are difficult to talk about, according to Mobley.

“Therefore, they may ignore the warning signs of physical symptoms and put off seeking diagnosis and help – resulting in the potential manageable health problems developing into more serious ones,” he said.

The alliance program has been introduced in a select number of states on a pilot basis only and is designed to work at the local level. The program will be advertised in the area. The program can help veterans obtain proper medications.
