Medicinal plant workshop at Sorensen’s
April 23, 2004
Kimball Chatfield, local botanical expert and doctor of acupuncture, will conduct his annual medicinal power of Sierra plants informative workshop at Sorensen’s Resort Saturday, April 24, at 8 p.m. The cost is a $5 donation for Friends of Hope Valley, which will be matched by Sorensen’s.
With the surging interest in turning to plants and other natural sources as alternatives to synthetically produced medicines, this course is both timely and illuminating. While you won’t necessarily find a cure for the common cold out there in the nooks and crannies of Alpine County, you might discover some surprising remedies.
Come and learn how Dr. Chatfield has uncovered some alpine plant secrets based on his extensive research. Come early for dinner at Sorensen’s cafe, or make a weekend of it.
