Medical center will X-ray Halloween candy
Carson Valley Medical Center, located at 1107 Highway 395 in Gardnerville, will offer radiographic imaging of Halloween treats in the Medical Imaging Department, Saturday, Oct. 30, from 7 to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to noon. Possible delays may occur, with patient care being a priority.
This service is for the safety of all children in our community. Radiographic imaging is limited to the detection of metallic objects. X-ray will not detect liquid, powder or glass granule substances.
Parents should visually inspect all goodies for potential tampering that might not be detected by X-ray.
