Staff reports

Members of Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL) Branch 1408, Gardnerville, presents “Bonhoeffer, Agent of Grace,” a 90-minute film dealing with difficult choices.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a Lutheran pastor, faced a crisis of moral belief when he chose to confront Nazi Germany during World War II.

The film and thought-provoking discussion, led by Pastor Russ Howen, will be presented Feb. 25 at 1 p.m. in the parish hall of Trinity Lutheran Church, 1480 Douglas Ave., Gardnerville.

AAL is a fraternal benefit society of 1.7 million members who are joined together for insurance, education and volunteer opportunities. AAL’s members are organized into more than 10,000 local volunteer groups called branches. They meet regularly to carry out a variety of volunteer efforts, fund-raising projects and educational programs to help themselves, their communities and people in need across the nation, said spokesperson Linda Reid.
