Yoga Loft owner enjoying new location
Jill Mustacchio, owner of the Yoga Loft in Gardnerville, relocated her yoga studio in the summer of 2010 to the Sierra foothills, and she’s been enjoying the change ever since.
Yoga Loft West, as she calls it, integrates the peacefulness of the outdoors and the flow of a mountain stream with the serenity of the studio itself, she said.
“This land, our Carson Valley, contains such a rich history of movement and discovery,” she said. “I love teaching yoga in a space where I have raised my family and have grown so much myself. It reminds me of the old saying, ‘Sometimes our diamonds are buried deep in our own backyard.'”
Mustacchio has taught gentle yoga since 2001, has a degree in health education from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is a former registered nurse. A registered Yoga Alliance teacher, she is continuing her yoga training by studying yoga therapy.
Mustacchio raised her three children in the Valley with her husband Jon, who is a mortgage banker for Sierra Pacific Mortgage.
