Yoga Loft adds two new teachers
The Yoga Loft in Gardnerville has two new teachers and two new classes.
Mary Foraker is offering Iyengar yoga 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Anna Vandruska is offering prenatal yoga from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursdays.
Foraker is a registered nurse of 20 years with a passion for creating balance with yoga. She is a nurse manager with Carson Valley Medical Center, and a 200-hour registered Yoga Alliance teacher with a background in the Iyengar tradition.
Foraker said the consistent practice of yoga can alleviate pain and promote health. Her classes focus on detail and alignment in the poses, and emphasis postures that increase strength and flexibility. She strives to instill compassion for the self as well as others in yoga class or the community.
Foraker can be reached at (775) 901-6663 or http://www.yogaRN.com.
Vandruska shares her passion for pregnancy and pregnant women teaching prenatal yoga and support classes at The Yoga Loft and soon in Carson City. Vandruska is a doula massage therapist, a writer and mother of three children and two dogs. Coming soon to the studio will be Vandruska’s mommy and me yoga.
