Workshop to help teens learn how to learn

Staff Reports

The final workshop for middle and high school parents who want to help their children with school academic performance will be tomorrow evening at the Douglas High School library from 7 to 9 p.m.

Dr. Meggin McIntosh, professor with the College of Education, University of Nevada, Reno, will present part two of the class that was previously offered at three locations – Carson Valley Middle School, George Whittell High School and DHS – in September. Approximately 80 parents and teachers attended those classes.

Part Two is intended for those who were on hand at the Part One classes. McIntosh will be offering the next level of assistance parents can offer to their students.
