Woman hurt in Markleeville rollover
A Markleeville woman involved in a single vehicle rollover Sunday is facing a drunk driving charge.
Caitlin Shanahan, 23, was northbound on Highway 89 leaving Markleeville when she allowed her GMC Sierra to drift off the roadway, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The pickup hit a rock outcropping and continued onto the embankment before coming to rest against a tree.
She was ejected from the vehicle, according to the report. The wreck was reported at about 2:11 p.m.
As a result of her injuries she was flown to Renown Regional Medical Center by Calstar ambulance helicopter with moderate injuries to her head and body.
She was arrested as a result of the collision and then released for treatment of her injuries.
