Waterloo work begins Monday
Waterloo Lane from Highway 395 to Centerville will be affected by road construction over the next two months starting Monday, according to Douglas County Public Works.
The project is designed to reconstruct the roadway section and enhance pedestrian facilities including ramps and crossings.
As a result, the Lampe Park Farmers Market is moving to the parking lot of the Carson Valley Community & Senior Center.
The project also includes work on Toler Lane from Elges Avenue to Willow Creek Road. Toler Lane improvements consist of a roadbed modification, which stabilizes the base of the roadway with a new pavement surface.
The work which is being performed by Granite Construction will result in delays and or detours to motorist. Residents are asked to plan for the delays and detours or use an alternate route.
Access to homes and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected.
Construction hours on Waterloo will be 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hours will extend to 5:30 p.m. during pulverizing and paving.
Construction hours on Toler will be 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
