Victim in shooting identified as Norman Welch
The name of a 59-year-old man who was found dead in his Topaz Ranch Estates home on Tuesday was released by Douglas County authorities this morning.
Douglas County detectives are investigating the shooting death of Norman Welch, who was found in his home at 4100 Gray Hills Road. It appeared Welch had been shot sometime in the last two weeks.
Additional details regarding the ongoing investigation cannot be revealed at this time; however detectives from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office are still seeking the public’s help in locating a person of interest in this incident.

Jeanine Mona Escandon, 38, is a person of interest in connection with a suspicious death discovered on Tuesday morning.
Sgt. Jim Halsey said that while the details of the investigation can’t be revealed, authorities hope someone can help them locate Escandon.
She is described as 5-feet, 6-inches tall, about 105 pounds, with a thin build, brown eyes and medium brown hair. Escandon has false front teeth.
Halsey said she is believed to be driving a maroon 1990 Chrysler Imperial four-door sedan with the Nevada personalized license plate No. F1NEV.
