The accident occurred at around 5:45 p.m. when the driver of a northbound Chevrolet Aveo in the fast lane reportedly failed to stop for a Nissan Altima while it was stopped at the light.

The Nissan struck a gray Subaru Legacy, which then hit a Subaru Impreza, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to Renown Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries. The driver of the Nissa was taken to Carson Valley Medical Center, also with nonlife-threatening injuries. The other two drivers were not injured in the accident.

The accident closed northbound Highway 395 between Mica Drive and Jacks Valley Road for a short time.
