This place we call home
January 6, 2011
What a wonderful place to call home. I love that I’m embraced by beautiful mountains, clean air and belonging to a small town.
We have concerts in the park, movies in the park, community yard sales, parade of lights, wine walks and most at no charge.
My friends and I had so much fun at The Snow Ball Poker Walk and The Parade Of Lights. The winter wonderland window display was a blast. We went from business to business looking for Santa’s reindeer in hopes of being of one of three winners for the prize package.
Prize packages were donated by 2nd Chance Furniture Consignment, The Angler’s Edge, Battle Born Wine, Candles n’ Crafts, Cheshire Antiques, CJS Floors, Classical Glass & Gifts, Country Carousel, East Fork Gallery, Especially For You, Fresh Ideas, Heirloom Antiques, Horse’n Around Western Gifts, Joyce’s Fine Jewelry, Nutrition Unlimited, Pamper U – Exquisite Massage, Ruby Rose City & Saddle Clothes, Sapphire Wizard Fired Arts, and Sharkey’s Casino.
The businesses were decorated beautifully. Some offered treats, free gift wrapping, and always great customer service.

We had no problems with crowded places, wasting time driving out of town, or trying to get help. With the money I saved on gas, I bought something for myself.
I was one of 50 winners of a 15-gallon Austrian pine tree courtesy of Genoa Trees & Landscape Materials.
