The RC Morning Report for July 31
We’ll be following up today on a multiple vehicle crash at Cave Rock that closed Highway 50 for a couple of hours on Tuesday night. The wreck happened around 8:50 p.m. and involved as many as 16 people, according to the Tahoe Daily Tribune.
Today, the animals will be in Carson Valley, including a kangaroo at the CVIC Hall as part of the library’s summer reading program at 4 p.m.
A little bit later, at 6:30 p.m., the Fish Springs wild horses will be the topic of a workshop at the Fish Springs Volunteer Fire Department where the BLM will discuss the alternatives for getting them back to the herd management area.
We’re still looking at a fire weather watch, starting noon Thursday. Today we’ve got sunny skies with a high of 86 degrees, with winds out of the west 5-10 mph increasing to 10-15 mph in the afternoon. Expect gusts of up to 25 mph. We may see bigger gusts tonight.
