The R-C Morning Report for Sept. 27

Genoa, Nev. — Sen. Lawrence Jacbosen clearly belongs in the first Douglas High School Hall of Fame, which will be formally inducted on Wednesday. Also on the list is Douglas High School math teacher Gaye Tyndall, graduate Dan Hamer who donated a kidney to a co-worker and former R-C intern Ashley Hennefer-Warren. We’ll have more about these folks coming up.

Three town hall meetings in October are being conducted by the Douglas County School District to discuss needs for repairs. The meetings start Oct. 6 at Zephyr Cove Elementary, and then come down to the Valley on Oct. 12 and then wrap up at Meneley Elementary School on Oct. 20. All sessions are 6-7 p.m.

Today will be the last scorcher for a while with a high temperature of 88 degrees under sunny skies. The weather will start to slide on Wednesday and be down to 63 degrees by Sunday.
