The R-C Morning Report for Sept. 23
September 23, 2016
Genoa, Nev. — Between the arrival of crafters and Street Vibrations, the intersection of Genoa Lane and Main Street will be one of the busiest in Douglas County today. If you're visiting Nevada's oldest town today, bring your patience, because it's going to be congested.
Carson Valley Art Association is having a potluck white elephant exchange 11:30 a.m. today at Lampe Park.
We got .12 inches of rain in Genoa on Thursday, which is the wettest it's been in a long spell. There were sprinkles in town, but I would be surprised if they amount to more than a trace of rain.
Areas near the river south of Genoa Lane got down to 29 degrees this morning. Minden-Tahoe Airport got down to 28 degrees. My thermometer showed a low of 34 degrees before dawn, which is more typical of areas on the bench.
