Genoa, Nev. — County commissioners approved selling $13 million in bonds using the nickel gas tax, 4-0 on Thursday. The money will go to fix the county's regional roads, including Waterloo Lane between Centerville and Highway 88.
The town of Gardnerville is hosting a workshop 3 p.m. today to talk about the town's future improvements and prioritize the list. The Town Hall is at 1407 Highway 395.
At 41 degrees it's a bit chilly out this morning, and it will get cooler this weekend. If you living a very low or very high portion of Douglas County, it might be a good idea to cover your tomatoes Sunday and Monday night since the low will be dropping down to around 35.
Today we'll see sunny skies and a high temperature of 83 degrees. The wind will be light out of the southwest shifting to 5-10 mph out of the west in the afternoon, with gusts of up to 20 mph.
