The R-C Morning Report for Oct. 5
Genoa, Nev. — Today is the big day for the connectivity effort. There are three taxes up for discussion at commissioners’ 1 p.m. meeting at the historic Douglas County courthouse. They’ve devoted an hour each to them and there’s not much else on the program.
There’s a winter weather advisory for the Sierra south of Yosemite above 8,500 feet with up to 4 inches of snow possible.
Minden-Tahoe Airport is reading 36 degrees this morning, but I’ve got 44 degrees up on the bench. I’m also reading a tenth-inch of rain on Sunday.
Today expect mostly sunny skies and a high near 71 degrees. The wind will shift from northwest to southeast this morning at 5 mph. Expect temperatures to warm back up into the 80s by Friday.
