Genoa, Nev. — A motorcyclist sustained a head injury in the Pinenut Road roundabout on Monday night. We’ll pursue more information about what happened and his condition today.

Douglas County commissioners meet 9 a.m. today to pick the new East Fork Fire District Board. That process will be a long one, estimated at more than four hours. The meeting will be held in the Douglas County Courthouse, 1616 Eighth St. in Minden.

Gardnerville Town Board members will discuss the cost of updating the Town’s web site and the potential of adding a mobile app option at their meeting, 4:30 p.m. today.

We’re looking at freezing temperatures early this morning and temperatures well below freezing on Tuesday night, according to a statement issued by the National Weather Service. With a forecast low of 25 degrees, it might be a good idea to disconnect the hoses today.

Today expect mostly sunny skies and a high near 64 degrees, with the wind out of the west at 5-15 mph, gusting to 25 mph.
