The R-C Morning Report for Oct. 30

Genoa, Nev. — Happy Nevada Day holiday. State and local offices are closed today with one big exception. Tonight the Governor’s Mansion will be open for Trick or Treating. The parade is 10 a.m. Saturday in Carson City.

Trick or treating is Saturday in Douglas County. In addition to Trick or Treat Safety Street 3-8 p.m. Saturday at the CVIC Hall, Trinity Lutheran Church is hosting Trunk or Treat 4 p.m. across from the church and Calvary Chapel is hosting its Fall Festival at the Fairgrounds around 5:30 p.m.

Let’s all fall back in good order on Sunday morning for the time change, and remember to check the smoke detector batteries, but probably not at 2 a.m.

Halloween night will be a bit warm with a low forecast for 47 degrees under partly cloudy skies. The high on Saturday will be 76. Expect the wind to pick up out of the west at 5-15 mph, gusting to 25 mph.
