The R-C Morning Report for Oct. 26

Genoa, Nev. — Nearly 1,300 Douglas County residents cast an early ballot either in Minden or Sunridge on Tuesday. That’s the second day in a row that the number of early voters exceeded the first day’s turnout. So far we have 4,035 early ballots and 1,663 absentee ballots turned in. There are eight days left to vote early before the general election.

The early voting roadshow will be at the Gardnerville Ranchos Fire Station on Mitch Drive 2-6 p.m. today. The Douglas County Courthouse is open for early voting 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Topaz Ranch Medical Clinic is offering drop-in flu shots today. It might be a good idea to be packing your medical insurance card when you show up.

Expect mostly sunny skies with a high temperature of 71 degrees today. Winds will be out of the southwest at 5-15 mph. Showers are due to arrive on Thursday.
