The R-C Morning Report for Oct. 16
October 18, 2015
Genoa, Nev. — Potential First Lady Heidi Cruz will be at Hamdog's in Gardnerville around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, according to supporter Assemblyman Jim Wheeler. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz himself was in Gardnervile for the big Basque Fry on the Corley Ranch in August.
I'm working on follow-ups to the China Springs runaway and the collision at 88 and Centerville, both from Thursday. When I get new information, I'll post it to the Web site.
The Haunted Weekend folks will be touring Minden tonight and Genoa Cemetery on Saturday. For more about this and other events occurring this weekend in Carson Valley pick up a copy of The Record-Courier's mobile app, on stands now for 50 cents, or check out http://www.recordcourier.com.
It looks like Minden-Tahoe Airport got a twentieth of an inch of rain early this morning. I can't tell that anything fell in Genoa's corner of the Valley. Today's forecast is for isolated showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Expect partly sunny skies with a high temperature near 77 degrees. The closest to a freeze we'll get is when the low drops to 35 degrees on Sunday.
