Genoa, Nev. — Early voting starts in eight days. To check your registration you can go to https://cltr.douglasnv.us/elections/ and select voter search under main election link. You can also find a sample ballot under the search. You can make changes to your registration up until Tuesday either in person or online.
We’re going to have a bumpy couple of days, with high wind and red flag warnings lasting through the night. The red flag goes up at 2 p.m. today and won’t come down until 11 a.m. Friday. A high wind warning hits 11 p.m. tonight and will last through 5 p.m. Friday.
This one will be a real shingle ripper with 90 mph winds forecast for wind-prone areas in the foothills and along Highway 395. Save those files often.
Rain won’t arrive until early Friday morning and is forecast to be relatively light here at maybe .15 inches.
Today’s forecast is for partly sunny and breezy with a high of 76 degrees. The wind won’t be going really good until around 11 a.m., and then it just takes off and won’t quit until Friday night.
