There are a lot of Veterans Day related events going on this morning, including at Gardnerville and Scarselli elementary schools, and the Douglas County Senior Center, where they’re having the annual USO celebration. Find out more in today’s edition of The Record-Courier.

County commissioners approved a new contract for medical and pharmacy services to county, town and fire district employees. The new contract contains quite an increase for the county workers.



Local, state and county offices will be closed for Veterans Day on Monday, as well banks, schools and the post office. If you’ve got pressing business, best to conduct it today.



It was warmer out at my house this morning than it was for most of the day on Monday. Today expect a high of 66 degrees under sunny skies with a southwest wind 5-10 mph, gusting to 20 mph. It will drop back below freezing tonight.
