The R-C Morning Report for Nov. 25

There was a 1.5 earthquake at the stateline due west of Holbrook Junction about 5:30 p.m. Sunday. There was also a 2.5 temblor between Coleville and Walker early Saturday morning

The Record-Courier will be closed on Thursday, so we’ll be putting the Friday paper to bed on Wednesday. Anything that needs to be in Friday should be dropped off today at the latest.



High pressure’s building up over Nevada resulting in an inversion that will keep smoke in the Valley. This morning air at the Gardnerville Ranchos is unhealthy for sensitive groups.



While a Thanksgiving storm looks like it’s going to fizzle, it will alt least help scrub the air out. There’s a slight chance of rain on Thursday, but not enough to interfere with anyone’s travel plans.

Today’s weather will be sunny, with a high temperature of 51 degrees. The wind will pick up out of the east later today at 5 mph.
