The R-C Morning Report for March 31

I counted 10 Amador Stage Line buses rolling through town on Monday afternoon. I hear it’s Cliven Bundy on his way to the Legislature with his supporters to protest in favor of Assembly Bill 480 to take over federal land today.

The gaming take at Stateline rose in February, perhaps reflecting the first full month that the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel was open. According to figures released this morning, the clubs took in $15.5 million, up from last year’s $14.7 million. Carson Valley area casinos, which include East Fork Township and Carson City brought in $7.6 million without Sharkey’s in the mix, which was up a tad from the same month last year.

It’s 54 degrees out and relatively still out in my part of the Valley this morning. Expect the wind to pick up out of the west around 8 a.m. to 15 mph, with 30-35 mph gusts from just before lunchtime to around dinnertime. If your hoses are still hooked up, go disconnect them because it’s going to freeze on Wednesday morning.
