Genoa, Nev. — The implications of Senate Bill 499 approved in the last legislature are starting to sink in. Unless the new law is challenged in court, this year’s commissioner races will be decided in the Republican primary. Douglas County Democrats are meeting tonight to prepare for their April 2 county convention. Republicans are holding their county convention on Saturday at the Carson Valley Inn.

Expect today to be sunny and kind of nice with a high temperature of 65 degrees. That will be the warmest we’ll see for a bit as winter makes an effort to claw it’s way back early next week.
