Genoa — Gardnerville Town Board members approved a $42,975 contract with the Dubé Group for architectural and engineering services to prepare building plans for the Gardnerville Station. As described on Tuesday night, the plans will make the project “even more shovel ready” when funding becomes available.

Tonight the Minden Town Board will be discussing parking around Minden Park and a major modification for the La Costa at Monte Vista reducing the number of approved parcels, changing the elevations and floor plans and altering the subdivision map. Minden meets at 5:30 p.m. today in the CVIC Hall.

Genoans will be tackling issues related to their budget, vision and a variety of related matters at 6:30 p.m. today. This will be the first of their new meeting days. The Genoa Town Board meets at the town offices.

It looks like we might have some weather coming starting Thursday and running into next week. The National Weather Service is laying odds that we’ll see rain and a chance of snow by Sunday.

Today expect warm temperatures and mostly sunny skies. The wind will be out of the southwest at 5-15 mph, picking up tonight with 25 mph gusts as the first wave comes in.
