The R-C Morning Report for March 10

Gardnerville, Nev. — A proposal to spend up to $26,000 on the College Jump Start Program is before Douglas County School Board trustees at their regular meeting at Douglas High School in Minden. The meeting starts at 3:30 p.m.

A Foothill man, who admitted to stealing a woman’s car in Gardnerville before being caught a few blocks away, is facing a probation violation hearing this morning in Douglas County District Court. Dalton F. Forbes, 19, was sentenced to a suspended 16-60-month prison sentence in December.

Clouds are supposed to start rolling in later this morning, if there is indeed going to be precipitation on Wednesday. Expect the cloud cover to increase this afternoon. Not much wind is expected until this latest front heads out Wednesday night.

There isn’t much moisture expected either, with less than a tenth of an inch of rain supposedly starting to fall around 5 a.m. and continuing through the day. The chances of rain in any given spot are 50-50.
