It looks like the Nevada Highway Patrol will be cracking down on speeders over the next three weeks in an effort to curb a spike in the number of fatalities in the state. Take it easy out there, we've got a lot of folks on the roads and they're not always paying attention.
George Whittell High School student Daria Sharon received $5,000 with the seventh annual Gene Upshaw Scholarship Award at this year's American Century Championship.
The worst of Tuesday's storms passed right by Carson Valley. The Gardnerville Ranchos received .08 inches of rain, but otherwise it just sprinkled.
There will be one more day of scattered showers and thunderstorms today after 11 a.m. Expect the high to hit around 83 degrees today with the wind out of the southwest at 5-10 mph increasing to 10-15 mph in the afternoon.
