The R-C Morning Report for July 21
Genoa, Nev. — A man is denying he tried to break a window of the Jacks Valley Target with a rock. Carson City resident Michael Shawn Daggett, 21, appeared in East Fork Justice Court on Monday where he entered a not guilty plea to destruction of property and burglary. Daggett was taken into custody early Sunday morning after a Douglas County deputies responded to an alarm at the store. The deputy reported finding Daggett lying down behind the newspaper racks in front of the empty Staples at around 1:30 a.m. Daggett is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday with attorney Jamie Henry.
Minden Rotary will be hosting Brad Harris of Neurosense at its meeting today. Rotarians meet 11:30 a.m. at the Carson Valley Inn. Conrad Buedel will talk about Austin’s House on Sept. 22.
There’s very good chance we’ll see some thunderstorms today, according to the National Weather Service. That might bring some flash flooding to the area, but there’s no telling where, and the weather service hasn’t issued any flood watches for today.
