The R-C Morning Report for Jan. 8
January 8, 2014
While not enthusiastically embracing the idea of paying late fees and penalties on a sewer bill they didn't incur, members of the Gardnerville Town Board voted to pay a $1,500 Minden Gardnerville Sanitation District bill run up by the prior owners of Eagle Gas. Town Board members approved a year's free trash service for resident Rachel Alexander, after her name was drawn from a list of 50 people who participated in a survey.
Minden Town Board members will hear a proposal by Bently Enterprises to redevelop the Minden Mill District, including the Minden Silo Buildings and adjacent parcels. The Minden Town Board meets starting at 5:30 p.m. in the CVIC Hall on Esmeralda Avenue.
A slight chance of rain is in the forecast for Thursday as a series of weak disturbances break down the high pressure over Carson Valley. For today, we've got partly sunny skies with a high of 51 degrees. Expect a light breeze this afternoon as the clouds start to roll in.
