The R-C Morning Report for Jan. 8

Genoa, Nev. — Douglas County commissioners reappointed JoEtta Brown to the planning commission and selected Douglas High graduate Bryan Davis to replace Kevin Servatius on the board.

Commissioners also approved the three incumbents for the Senior Services Advisory Board, Mike Olson, Bob Cook and Paul Lockwood. Charles Wolle and Bonnie Rogers were appointed to the Library Board of Trustees. Only the three boards were contested. Everyone else who sought a position on a board got it.

We got a little snow on Thursday night that will turn roads icy for this morning’s commute. It’s also foggy out, so be careful on the roads.

The fog is forecast to stick around until 11 a.m. Then we’re looking at partly sunny skies and a high temperature of 37 degrees.
