The R-C Morning Report for Jan. 4

Genoa, Nev. — We’ll be seeing District Judge Tom Gregory at the Douglas County Clerk’s Office bright and early this morning for the first day of judicial filing. Gregory was appointed earlier this year by Gov. Brian Sandoval.

School’s back in session, sort of. It’s a teacher workday, so no buses or students today. That happens on Tuesday.

There’s a chance we’ll see snow or rain showers after 10 a.m. today, but not much of one. There aren’t any road controls out this morning, and I doubt we’ll see any later in the day unless it’s really snowing out.

The high temperature should hit 36 degrees today with a 30 percent chance of snow and the wind calm. Accumulation, if any, is less than half an inch. As of 6:30 a.m. it’s 16 degrees out.
