Genoa, Nev. — Pretrial motions start today in the case against Trent Getty, whose baby daughter died of head trauma a year ago. Getty is facing a murder charge in the case, which isn’t scheduled to be heard until spring. He has been in custody ever since is arrest in January 2015.
The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension’s traveling radon road show will be at the CVIC Hall in Minden 6 p.m. today, giving out free radon testing kits, honoring the Carson Valley Middle School student who won the contest and sharing what they know about the odorless invisible gas that is the second biggest cause of lung cancer after smoking.
It’s a tad chilly out this morning at 27 degrees, but not as cold as it was Tuesday morning. Today’s high temperature is expected to hit 55 degrees under partly sunny skies. We could see 60s before the storm makes it here.
