Gardnerville, Nev. — Flags are at half-staff today by order of Gov. Brian Sandoval in honor of the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. It has been 74 years since the Japanese attack that started World War II.
A South Lake Tahoe man is hoping to stay out of prison this morning after allegedly absconding on his diversion program. Brian Cruess, 27, is facing 1-4 years in prison on possession of drugs charge.
It looks like we might get an honest to gosh atmospheric river rolling in during the middle of the week. It’s early yet, but the National Weather Service is calling for feet of snow in the Sierra. So far it looks like rain for the Valley, but that’s not exactly a bad thing either.
It’s already pretty warm out this morning at 45 degrees. We should see a high temperature of nearly 60 degrees today, and topping 60 on Tuesday and Wednesday. Fish Springs got the big wind gust with 58 mph at 11:33 a.m. Sunday. The Ranchos reported a 51 mph gust with blowing wind.
