The R-C Morning Report for Dec. 31
Welcome to the last day of 2015. The R-C will be closing early, but most government offices will be hanging around until noon. Expect everything to be closed on Friday.
Here’s hoping that tonight’s New Year’s Eve crowd is quiet and happy and that the fish are biting New Year’s Day morning for the opening of fishing season at Topaz Lake.
The forecast still says it will be mostly sunny out today, though it’s snowing lightly under completely overcast skies. Go figure. Apparently all the clouds were pushed up against the Sierra last night. It’s also why we didn’t see single digits this morning. Expect that to change if the murk every clears out.
The high today is supported to be 27 degrees with an east wind of 5 mph. The low tonight in Minden is forecast to be 9 degrees, which is 2 degrees colder than Stateline’s 11 degrees.
