The R-C Morning Report for Dec. 19

It’s the last day of school before winter break. It’s a half day for the middle and high schools today. Elementary schools students have a full day.

A vehicle struck a deer down near Holbrook Junction and is disabled. It’s sticking slightly into the southbound lane according to an officer onscene, so motorists should keep an eye out through there.

Genoa is hosting a Mary Kaye Christmas tonight in the Town Hall. Tickets may still be on sale for the 6:30 p.m. performance. Call the town at 782-8696 to find out.

Letters to Santa Claus are in today’s edition of The Record-Courier on newsstands now. We’ve got them here in the office as well.

It looks like today there might be a chance of precipitation, but I would say a pretty slim chance. The high is supposed to hit 47 with a southwest wind at 10 mph. The forecast has a chance of precipitation on Christmas Eve, but the forecasters have had difficulty with predicting precipitation this whole month.
