The R-C Morning Report for Dec. 17

Staff Reports

Brian Ray Hearold, 18, is due in court for sentencing this morning. In May, Hearold admitted to the February theft of two dirtbikes from a Gardnerville Ranchos garage. He was sent to a regimental discipline program, whose successful completion could get him probation.

Looks like we’ve got a storm coming on Wednesday night with a cold front coming in from the north that will leave a little snow, but will make the Thursday morning commute extra slushy. At least the wind on the front end will break the inversion we’ve had for a while.

Today there’s a little bit of fog along the river, and some lovely pogonip where it frosted the trees. The inversion continues to affect our air today. Expect the temperature to hit 42 today under partly sunny skies. The wind picks up on Wednesday morning.
