The R-C Morning Report for Dec. 11
There’s a report of an early morning structure fire at 2837 Topaz Lane in Antelope Valley on the California Highway Patrol web site. Antelope Valley, Mountain Warfare Training Center and East Fork firefighters responded to the 2:36 a.m. blaze.
There was a 40 mph wind gust at the Desert Research Institute gauge along Genoa Lane at 5:40 a.m. North of Genoa along the base of the Carson Range there’s not a breath of wind, but you can hear it.
The prohibition on high profile vehicles in Washoe Valley is the only road control in Western Nevada right now. A high wind warning remains in effect through 4 a.m. Friday.
It’s 58 degrees out this morning, and only supposed to hit 60, which will happen early before the temperature drops. There’s no real chance of rain before 10 p.m. Expect areas of blowing dust and very windy conditions through the day.
