The R-C Morning Report for Dec. 1

Douglas County District Judge Michael Gibbons is on his way down to Las Vegas for his Tuesday morning interview for the appellate court judge. His interview is at 11:25 a.m. and can be seen at the Nevada Supreme Court building courtroom in Carson City. I don’t think a big “Go Douglas,” sign will get past security.

It’s going to be a busy week this week, starting with Gardnerville and Genoa town boards on Tuesday, Minden Town Board on Wednesday and Douglas County Board of Commissioners on Thursday. That night the fun really begins with Gardnerville’s Christmas Kickoff, followed on Friday with Minden and Genoa’s celebrations, and culminating on Saturday with the Parade of Lights.

It’s foggy out this morning and 36 degrees in Genoa. We got a tenth of an inch of rain overnight, both in Genoa and at the Minden-Tahoe Airport. Expect the skies to clear today with the high temperature near 54 degrees.
