The R-C Morning Report for Aug. 3
Sunday’s lightning storm set a few fires, including a 40-acre blaze on Rissue Canyon in far southeastern Douglas County. There’s a line around 80 percent of that fire, which should be out in a bit.
The connectivity meeting that was originally scheduled for Thursday has been bumped by the flood meetings. Commissioners will hear a report on the flood at their 1 p.m. meeting and deal with the new contract with the Douglas County Public Employees. I’m told commissioners won’t be attending the flood workshop at the CVIC Hall.
There’s a slight chance of thunderstorms after 2 p.m. with a high temperature of 88 degrees. The wind will be up to 5-10 mph later today.
