The R-C Morning Report for Aug. 28

Genoa, Nev. — Tonight is the last Concert in the Park for the season. The chairs will be there most of the day, but the music starts around 6 p.m. in Minden Park with the Shane Dwight Band.

This weekend won't be quite as busy as last, but there's still some things going on, including the Piper Family Blood Drive at the CVIC Hall in Minden. For more about what's happening around Carson Valley, pick up a copy of The Record-Courier on stands now.

We had a few raindrops fall on Thursday, and that might happen today, but it's not really likely. Expect partly sunny skies and a high of 89 degrees. The wind's expected to be light out of the southwest, increasing to 10-15 mph, with gusts of up to 25 mph. It's not going to die back tonight, and just keep building through Saturday.
