The R-C Morning Report for Aug. 26
Genoa, Nev. — Today is the day of the big water meeting, where I think people will find out it’s just one of several big water meetings to come. It’s 9 a.m. in Room 4100 of the Legislative Building in Carson City. They changed the room, probably to accommodate the many folks expected to attend. I suggest showing up early.
Speaking of early, I’m speaking at Sertoma this morning, hence the early arrival of the morning report. Sertoma meets at the C.O.D. Casino in Minden.
Down near Benton a tanker loaded with hot asphalt ran off the road and turned over around 5:20 a.m. It doesn’t sound like anyone was hurt, but that’s going to be one sticky mess to clean up.
Expect today to be sunny with a high temperature near 87 degrees. Wind should be out of the west at 5 mph, shifting to the east later in the morning.
