Genoa, Nev. — It sounds like there’s at least one more week of roadwork on Toller Lane. Paving is scheduled to start on Wednesday, according to the county. Because construction is running ahead of schedule, there will be few traffic delays until paving begins.

A Gardnerville man faces prison for punching another prisoner while he was in Douglas County Jail for a Carson Valley Days altercation. Nicholas Langston, 32, admitted to hitting another inmate and faces up to 18-60 months in prison.

Southwest winds have cleared the haze from Carson Valley and are expected to continue to do so for the next couple of days, according to the National Weather Service.

We’ll have a couple of more warm days with highs in the low-90s before it cools off. Today’s high temperature is forecast to be 92 degrees, with southwest winds 10-15 mph, gusting to 25 mph.
