The Gardnerville Walmart will have to pick a week to stop selling alcohol, members of the Douglas County Liquor Board decided on Thursday after a third violation for selling to a minor. No one from the store attended Thursday’s hearing, which Sheriff Ron Pierini said was unprecedented. Employees will also have to undergo training in the next 30 days.

Expect mostly sunny skies with a high of 94 degrees and the wind out of the west, shifting to the northeast at 5-10 mph in the afternoon.
