The R-C Morning Report for Aug. 18

Genoa, Nev. — The Gardnerville Walmart is going before the Douglas County Liquor Board for a formal reprimand for selling alcohol to a minor for the second time in two years. That’s the first item up at the Douglas County commissioners’ meeting 1:30 p.m. today at the Tahoe Transportation Center in Stateline.

Also on the agenda is a $199,225 contract to prepare and implement a Douglas County stormwater utility and a request for a resolution to seek an opinion on the Douglas County Sewer Improvement District’s electoral state.

It’s Thirsty Third Thursday 4-7:30 p.m. today in Gardnerville. Come on down and wander around.

There’s a chance of thunderstorms today after 11 a.m. It got a little gray on the west side on Wednesday. Otherwise expect mostly sunny skies and highs near 93.
