The R-C Morning Report for Aug. 17

Genoa, Nev. — With day three of school, it’s time to recognize some of the Valley groups involved with helping Douglas school children set started including Project School Days and Backpack Buddies. These volunteer organizations have aided thousands of students over the decades and will continue to do so in the future.

Today the Salvation Army is wrapping up its donation drive in Douglas. Drop off locations are the Douglas County Public Library in Minden and the Family Support Council.

Got pretty gray there for a bit on Tuesday. Expect more of that as the week progresses with the chance of thunderstorms highest on Thursday.

Otherwise expect mostly sunny skies and a high temperature of 93 degrees. The wind will be out of the west at 5 mph shifting to the east as the thunderstorms start to build.
