There weren’t any new major fires reported on the Sierra Front, and a fence fire over on Sawmill was kept to around 20 feet across. The Eagle 2 fire was sheltered from the wind and firefighters have it at 3 percent contained.

It wasn’t all that breezy a night last night, with the wind dying down around 9 p.m. around the Valley. I see a couple of gusts of nearly 40 mph around 3 p.m. The red flag warning continues until 11 a.m. today, which is also when the wind’s supposed to pick up again. Expect hazy skies this morning with a high today of 90.
