County commissioners approved a whole stack of water rate increases on Thursday afternoon, though they balked a little at the Fairgrounds. The big deal this weekend will be the Elks Summerfest Carnival and the Topaz Volunteer Fire Department’s barbecue on Sunday. If you’re willing to go a little bit further south, Bridgeport is celebrating Founder’s Day on Saturday.
