The R-C Morning Report
July 30, 2012
Dennis G. Darter, 19, who was convicted in a 2010 Topaz Ranch Estates break-in of taking a .357-magnum rifle, is facing sentencing on multiple violations of his probation, one of which, sexual statutory seduction, resulted in yet another charge. If his probation is revoked, he’s facing three years in prison, but he’s hoping to be sent to the regimental discipline program. He’s scheduled to appear in Douglas County District Court this morning.
There’s a property damage accident in the southbound lane of Highway 395 near Bodie Flats in the Pine Nuts that was reported at 6:30 a.m. Be careful through there, though it could be cleaned up in short order.
It’s going to warm up this week, with high temperatures nearing 100 as the weekend approaches. Today we’ll see sunny skies and a high temperature of 92 degrees. There’s a slight chance of thunderstorms on the forecast horizon.
